Handmade Black Clay Hanging Ornament, individually crafted in San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico by a young artisan dedicated to preserving the centuries-old Barro Negro tradition.
Each ornament is carefully hand-shaped and hand-carved from natural clay, featuring delicate heart-shaped cutouts that create beautiful patterns when displayed near natural light or paired with a small LED candle (not included). The rich black finish is achieved naturally during the firing process through a traditional oxygen-reduction technique—no paint or artificial coloring is used.
