Handmade Burnished Clay Anatomical Heart Vase from Michoacán, Mexico. Created by an award-winning artisan from a fourth-generation family workshop established in 1915, this extraordinary piece features a hand-sculpted three-dimensional anatomical heart against an engraved burnished surface adorned with birds, flowers, and nature-inspired motifs. Every vase is individually handcrafted, making it a true collector’s piece and a striking work of functional art.
The clay is traditionally fired at high temperatures before being engraved with intricate designs using naturally sourced mineral pigments. The vase is then returned to the kiln, creating its signature polished, lustrous finish. Many pieces from this collection have been exhibited at artisan festivals, received prestigious awards, and are personally signed by the artisan.
This vase is ideal for dried or faux floral arrangements. When displaying fresh flowers, simply place a plastic liner, glass container, or floral water tubes inside the vase, as the clay is not intended to hold water directly.
