Make a statement with this Extra Large Handmade Burnished Clay Vase, an exceptional work of art handcrafted in Michoacán, Mexico by an award-winning artisan workshop with over a century of tradition. Established in 1915, this four-generation family workshop is recognized for preserving one of Mexico’s most celebrated pottery techniques while creating museum-quality decorative pieces.
Each vase is handcrafted from locally sourced clay and fired in traditional wood-burning ovens at high temperatures. Once fired, artisans carefully engrave and decorate the surface using natural mineral pigments inspired by prehistoric cave art. The vase is then returned to the kiln, producing its distinctive polished, burnished finish and remarkable depth of color.
